Innerva launches brand in a box solution to drive growth of power-assisted exercise studios

06 Apr 2023
Active Wellbeing is Innerva’s new consumer-facing brand / Innerva
Innerva has launched an off-the-shelf solution to help operators deliver successful power-assisted exercise studios and unlock the potential of the UK’s ageing population.

The world’s leading provider of power-assisted exercise equipment has developed the brand-in-the-box solution in response to feedback from operators looking to engage with this growing market. The result is Active Wellbeing, Innerva’s new consumer-facing brand which is now available to operators and businesses which have installed Innerva’s power assisted exercise equipment.

In development for 12 months, the Active Wellbeing solution gives operators a brand standard and strong identity for their Innerva studios, ensuring consistent branding and communications both internally and externally amongst partners and most importantly customers. Licensed to any operator, it provides all the branded assets needed for a power-assisted facility, including signage, wall graphics and marketing campaigns as well as guidance on suite design, including soft furnishings, audio visual requirements and décor.

“Our ongoing research provided us with invaluable feedback around the requirement for a consistent identity for end users and businesses. We’ve spent the last year developing this solution, which will allow operators to get up and running with a fully branded Active Wellbeing suite,” says Laura Childs, Marketing & Communications Manager at Innerva.

Active Wellbeing embodies Innerva’s five elements of healthy ageing – aerobic fitness, muscular strength, balance, flexibility and social wellbeing. The solution is part of Innerva’s ongoing project for the UK Research and Innovation’s (UKRI) Healthy Ageing Challenge. Following a funding award of £1.1m from the public body, Innerva partnered with the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre at Sheffield Hallam University to research the barriers that older adults face in accessing physical activity and also develop solutions that give operators the tools to help people remain independent and socially connected for as long as possible.

“The aim of our research is to inform the launch of new solutions like Active Wellbeing to support operators to promote active ageing in their communities and increase the number of people accessing their power-assisted suites,” says Childs.

The new brand-in-the-box solution aligns with Sport England’s Future of Public Sector Leisure report, which urges the public sector to transition from delivering traditional services to a wider focus on active wellbeing in order to safeguard its future.

Active Wellbeing follows the recent launch of My Innerva, a community and support hub for health, fitness and rehabilitation professionals. The new hub offers a wealth of resources designed to support operators to address the needs of older adults with a sociable, inclusive and effective offering. These include a Knowledge Zone featuring the latest insight and research into exercise and older adults, a community forum to share advice and best practice as well as marketing resources to help operators grow their client database and build their business.
