Fit and Fun opens in Ljubljana
A new independently owned and operated health club has opened in the Slovenian capital city Lbuljana.
Entrepreneur Damijen Zajec has invested €238,000 in the 300sq m Fit & Fun Leisure Centre, which includes a large fitness suite and three group exercise studios.
The gym has been kitted out by Star Trac and includes 18 pieces of equioment from Star Trac's E-series range and 13 pieces of equipment from the Inspiration Strength series.
Zajec said that the club aims to benefit from being one of only a handful of fitness clubs in the centre of Ljubljana and will target office workers in the area.
The membership structure has been tailored to accommodate this and the club offers separate membership prices depending whether the member wishes to concentrate on station-based fitness, spinning or aerobic classes. The club also opens its doors to non-members for an entrance fee of €10.
Fitness manager Mitja Novak added: "Business people and office workers spend long hours sitting in front of their computers, and can lack incentive to exercise. The equipment we have chosen offers our target audience a motivating way to stay in shape."
Zajec bought the an existing health club on the site in 2008, and undertook a major renovation project, including rebranding the club as Fit & Fun Leisure Centre, to reflect its offering to members.
