Technogym has been named official fitness equipment supplier to England's new national football centre under a newly-signed exclusive agreement with the Football Association (FA).
St George's Park is located near Burton-upon-Trent, Staffordshire, and will open later this summer. The deal includes three gyms within the sports facility and two hotel gyms.
The three gyms at Perform at St George's Park - called Human Performance Lab; Rehabilitation Centre; and Strength and Conditioning - will contain 120 pieces of Technogym kit.
Perform, part of Spire Healthcare Group, has been appointed to operate the gyms, with the equipment to include Technogym's Excite+, Selection and PureStrength ranges.
Installation work at the three sports facility gyms will be complete this month (July), while the two hotel gyms are scheduled to open to residents in August 2012.
St George's Park business director Ruth Paulin said: "The vision for Perform at St. George's Park is to become an internationally renowned centre of excellence for human performance, sports medicine, rehabilitation and recovery."
Technogym founder Nerio Alessandri added: "We are delighted that we will play such a vital role in making the new National Football Centre a centre of excellence for football in England."
• News of the agreement comes as contractor Bowmer and Kirkland handed over the keys to St George's Park to the FA ahead of its opening this summer.
The final fit-out process will now get underway, which involves the national governing body and its partners – hotel operator Hilton and Spire Healthcare Group.
