Beat this
Just introduced by OSF is Beat Cycling, a concept which the company calls the next step in indoor biking.
Included are two Beat Bikes - the Avant standard model and the Master, ideal for instructors- and the Beat Cycling Academy, a complete programme of indoor cycling education.
Built for maximum durability, both machines feature an industrial grade steel frame with zinc treatment and painted in corrosion resistant epoxy, stainless steel handlebar and seat post, and a stainless steel scuff plate and protective rubber stripping to keep sweat and dirt out of the transmission system.
Amongst a range of safety, comfort and performance features are a multi-position handlebar with anti-slip covering, an adjustable ergonomic padded seat, mixed automatic SPD/street pedals, OEM components designed specifically to reduce accidents from sudden part failure, an emergency brake lever and a micro adjustable resistance knob.
The Master also incorporates an automatic clutch system (ACS), a coasting feature designed to provide an extra level of control and safety.
The Beat Cycling Academy programme includes Beat Cycling Essential, an introduction to indoor cycling covering all the basic points; the Beat Cycling Instructor certification course which covers the principal areas of indoor cycling in addition to specific topics including the latest motivation techniques; and the Beat Cycling Advance, courses designed to enable instructors to extend their knowledge in distinct areas.
Beat Cycling will be shown for the first time in the UK at Leisure Industry Week in September this year.
