Cyber Coach for Ladies Only
The Ladies Workout Express chain has become the first Ladies Only gym to install the Cyber Coach exercise system.
Cyber Coach - developed by Bolton-based Quick Leisure - dispenses with the need for a 'live' instructor by using a 'cyber' version projected onto a large screen.
A separate touch screen is used to control a range of exercise videos and games projected onto the main screen.
These are suitable for both adults and kids and the classes includes topics such as Street Dance, Aerobics, Abs Workout, Pilates, Step, Indoor Cycling, Strength, Stretch and Cheerleading, all run by a range of professional instructors.
The system at Ladies Workout Express is not being used to replace any of the current classes but will help to ensure that classes do not have to be cancelled when regular instructors are ill or away.
It also allows the aerobics programme offered to be boosted on demand of customers, including classes for which qualified instructors are hard to find.
Commenting, Ladies Workout Express owner Karen Pheasant said: "The system is so much better than home exercise DVDs.
"Many people find the class environment very motivating and the Cyber Coach offers all the benefits of any other aerobics class. The large format screen makes the sessions easy to follow and very lifelike."
Ladies Workout Express gyms can be found in Manchester, Liverpool, Belfast, Cheadle, Preston, Harrogate and Leeds.
