IHRSA 2009 saw the launch of the Matrix G7 Series, a premium line of strength training equipment from Matrix Fitness Systems.

The equipment, which has a very low profile, aims to be less intimidating and provide a superior user experience, especially for beginners and those that don't regularly work out.

Features include:

• Converging and diverging motions that closely replicate the body’s natural movement • Ergonomic seat and back cushions for comfort and stability

• A unique incremental weight system that can be easily adjusted from the seated position • Action Specific Grips that contour to the user’s hand for enhanced comfort

• Instructional placards that detail proper machine use and display muscles targeted to help users achieve correct body positioning and movement • Each machine is equipped with an electronic counter that tracks repetitions, activity time and rest time.

The integrated system tracks equipment usage and also provides the total time the machine has been used as well as total repetitions. This data allows operators to determine how often individual pieces are used and better estimate when the units require maintenance without having to disassemble the machine.

The G7 Series will expand to 19 products by the end of 2009.
