Life Fitness, in partnership with Blackpool Council, has developed and installed a new fitness suite at the town's Moor Park Pool.

Previously a pool-only facility, the site has now been expanded into a landmark health and lifestyle complex with an on site doctors surgery, pharmacy, physiotherapy centre and fitness suite. The multi-purpose fitness facility will cater for both patients and the general local community and more than 50 pieces of premium Life Fitness equipment have been installed.

These include the Life Fitness Elevation Engage cardiovascular series, Signature Series Cable Motion, benches and racks, plus the IFI accredited offering. In addition, Life Fitness complemented the equipment choice with the installation of the FitLinxx Attention Level Indicator system.

This helps to enhance staff-to-member connections by colour coding and identifying different user experience levels, highlighting both interaction and motivation levels. Andy Gill, Life Fitness Territory Development Manager-North, said: "The direct correlation between health and fitness couldn’t be more prevalent than at the new Moor Park Pool site and with the correct layout and equipment choice we've made it easier for patients and GPs to track and monitor the progress of members.

"We worked in collaboration with Blackpool Council to ensure their needs were met – ultimately promoting preventative medicine, increasing participation and engagement in exercise for the wider community."
