New UK subsidiary for Johnson Health Tech

Commercial and consumer fitness equipment company Johnson Health Tech has announced the formation of a new UK subsidiary, Matrix Fitness Systems.
Speaking at the launch, Jason Lo, President of Johnson Health Tech’s Global Business, announced that the latest addition to the Johnson 'worldwide family' would be dedicated to servicing the commercial health and fitness markets.
It will begin trading during January 2008 with a mandate to distribute, sell and service the Matrix and Johnson equipment brands.
Separating the existing UK business into two divisions is reported to be part of a planned five-year growth strategy. Retail consumer brands will continue to be distributed through Johnson Health Tech UK Ltd (JHTUK), whilst commercial brands will now be distributed through Matrix Fitness Systems Ltd.
Jamie Burton, Managing Director of JHTUK, will direct and expand the distribution of Vision and Horizon brands for the high-end consumer.
Jon Johnston, currently Commercial Director of JHTUK, has been appointed Managing Director of Matrix Fitness Systems.
