Precor completes third Hull refurb
The Kingston Fitness suite at Ennerdale Leisure Centre has re-opened for business – the third and final refurbishment of Hull City Council’s Fitness Suites.
Ennerdale’s sister centres, Woodford Leisure Centre and Costello Athletic Stadium also underwent renovation and refits last year re-opening in July and October respectively.
The refurbishments, which had been planned for completion in 2008, were delayed by devastating flood damage at Woodford Leisure Centre In 2007.
Ennerdale and Costello were fitted with 21 and 27 Precor CV stations respectively complete with personal viewing screens. Each boasts a 10-strong circuit from Precor’s Icarian resistance range. All three fitness suites offer the FitLinxx computerised 'personal trainer' data collection system and 42” plasma screen TVs.
Refurbishment of the 165sq m Ennerdale site cost £65,000 whilst Costello’s 196sq m suite cost £73,000. Each of the fitness suites has had new flooring, ceilings, lights, fixtures and fittings, air conditioning and the layout altered.
As well as its Kingston Fitness suite Ennerdale Leisure Centre also offers a short course six lane championship pool, teaching pool, sauna, steam room, solarium, aerobics studio, multi-purpose sports hall, soft play area and children’s exercise zone.
