Premier League team raises its pulse
A leading Premier League club has recently installed a Lightspace Play Wall to help improve the reaction times of its goalkeepers, in what is described as an innovative use of the product.
Launched in Europe by Pulse at LIW in 2008, The Lightspace Play Wall has been installed at the new fitness suite at the training ground of Manchester City Football Club and is part of a £1m facelift at the Carrington training facility.
Measuring 8ft by 4ft, the Lightspace Play Wall is said to be as durable as its sister product the Lightspace Play Floor and can withstand pressure of up to 3000lbs.
The surface is able to detect the location and force of players and objects, creating a realistic experience with instant feedback displayed on the wall or through sound effects.
The Lightspace Wall can be set to a variety of different games and ability levels allowing users to make training more challenging as their reaction times improve.
