Suffolk youth gets interactive
In association with SHOKK, Mildenhall's Dome Leisure Centre is introducing the company's new Multi Player Dance System to the local youth in a move designed to keep it entertained and off the street.
Kate Tucker, Duty Manager of The Dome, is the instigator of the new scheme, having noticed a growing trend of bored youngsters and deciding to look into different activity options.
The Dome will be the first site in the area to offer the younger community SHOKK's interactive dance mat system, designed to provide the ultimate game playing experience due to the close link to the popular arcade dance mats, with over 700 licenced chart songs.
The scheme aims to offer the younger community a new pastime, the programme beginning with an eight week course for local school pupils to be funded by Sports Unlimited.
This will lead on to further expansion into the community with more leisure centres taking part and the system touring the local areas, helping to get more involved and promote the positive aspects of youth activity.
