Technogym equipment scores at Lancashire sports college
A comprehensive range of Technogym equipment has been installed at the newly refurbished fitness facility at Corpus Christi Catholic Sports college near Preston.
Key features of the fitness suite, which is housed in a new building at the school, include Kinesis, two pieces of CardioWave and other kit from the Excite 500 range including treadmills and cross trainers.
Resistance equipment includes leg press, chest press, bike and reclined bike and Concept2 rowers.
Explaining the decision behind the equipment selected, Corpus Christi said its inspiration was the ranges available at private health clubs. Technogym arranged visits to several reference sites when the school was considering which fitness kit supplier to work with.
The facility is also open to the local community, with one of the most popular features being a rehabilitation programme called Cardio Club. This is aimed at people from the Heartbeat group who have suffered heart attacks or undergone surgery.
In the longer term, Corpus Christi plans to hire the facility out to fitness instructors and physiotherapists on an hourly basis and would like to target elite athletes for performance training.
With over 2,000 employees across 14 branches, Technogym is present in over 100 countries. More than 65,000 wellness centres are equipped with Technogym and 35 million users train every day on Technogym equipment. Technogym was the official supplier for the past seven Olympic Games, from Sydney 2000 to PyeongChang 2018.
