Watch out
Gaiam Direct, a division of Gaiam Ltd, is launching German company Sigma's new PC range of Heart Rate Monitors into the UK.
The Sigma PC3, PC9 and PC15 are non-coded heart rate monitors, making them compatible with cardio exercise kit which has a heart rate receiver built in, such as those in fitness studios and gyms. All three are ECG-precise.
The entry-level PC3 is a simple HRM with single-button operation and which also functions as a stopwatch and a clock.
The PC9 similarly operates as an everyday sports watch and features 'Training Manager' for exercise evaluation and monitoring, 5-function Time and Pulse menus, calorie counter, automatic exercise zone capability to calculate individual ideal limits, zone indicator, 3-zone alarm, 'My Name' function and five languages.
The top of the range PC15 - reported to be the best selling model in Germany - offers the same facilities as the PC9 apart from a 7-function Time menu and 6-function Pulse menu, plus a lap counter (50 laps).
