The world’s first fully certified organic energy and hydration drinks have been launched by the UK sports nutrition company, Science in Sport.

Organic variants of the products PSP22 and Go Electrolyte, which were used successfully by Team GB Cycling and Team GB Sailing at the Beijing Olympics, were unveiled at the TCR (Triathlon, Cycling and Running) Show at Sandown Park, Surrey (8-9 February).

Organic PSP22 is a complex carbohydrate energy fuel for high-energy performance and Organic Go Electrolyte is a carbohydrate energy fuel with electrolytes designed to give ultimate performance in the heat. Both drinks allow rapid hydration and aid high-energy performance at all sporting levels.

Science in Sport has spent five years developing manufacturing methods to ensure it meets stringent production line standards and materials certification to offer a fully certified quality product.

Organic PSP22 will be available in a 50g sachet and 1.4kg tub, while Organic Go Electrolyte will be available in a 40g sachet and 1.4kg tub.

All Science in Sport products are drug free and developed in accordance with World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) regulations on prescribed substances.

Science in Sport has a long standing presence at the elite end of sport and in 2008, the three grand cycling tours were all won by teams using Science in Sport products; the Tour de France, Giro d’Italia and Vuelta de Espana.
